Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between Mountain Oasis and Starlit Lodge?
Mountain Oasis is the fresher, brighter option, with cactus blossom, coastal waters, soft citrus and fresh air. Starlit Lodge is the warmer, cozier option, with sparkling citrus, warm amber and smooth sandalwood.
What comes in the detergent bag?
Each detergent listing is for one 16 oz resealable bag of powdered laundry detergent in the named fragrance. Dryer balls and dryer ball fragrance oil are sold separately.
How do I use the detergent?
Use one tablespoon per normal-size load. Add the powder directly to the washer drum before adding clothes. Do not place it in a liquid detergent dispenser drawer. Follow the package directions for other load sizes.
Can I coordinate my detergent and dryer ball fragrance?
Yes. Mountain Oasis and Starlit Lodge are also options in our Wool Dryer Balls & Fragrance Oil Kit, subject to availability. Choose your fragrance in the kit’s selector; the kit is a separate purchase.
Where can I find ingredient and washer-use information?
Check the product description and package directions. For the full ingredient information or questions about your washer, water conditions or a specific fabric, email MountainCozee@gmail.com before ordering so we can help you check the appropriate product guidance.
Is this laundry powder compatible with High Efficiency (HE) washing machines?
Yes. Our concentrated, low-sudsing laundry powder is designed for both standard and High Efficiency (HE) washing machines. Use one tablespoon per normal-size load and follow your washer’s instructions for adding powdered detergent.
How much laundry powder should I use?
Use one tablespoon per normal-size load. Add the powder directly to the washer drum before adding clothes. Do not place it in a liquid detergent dispenser drawer. Follow the package directions for other load sizes.
Does the formula contain borax?
No. Our laundry powder is borax-free. The formula uses sodium sesquicarbonate and active oxygen for cleaning.
What are the ingredients?
Sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, sodium sesquicarbonate, sodium carbonate peroxide, sodium cocoate (from coconut oil), sodium olivate (from olive oil), sodium stearate, magnesium sulfate, citric acid, and fragrance.
How many loads are in a 16 oz bag?
Up to 32 loads at one tablespoon per load, as listed on our package. Using more powder for larger or heavily soiled loads reduces the number of loads per bag.
Are your laundry fragrances phthalate-free?
Yes. We use fragrance oils from Midwest Fragrance Company, which states that its fragrance oils are phthalate-free.
Will the laundry powder dissolve in cold water?
Yes. Our powder is designed to dissolve in cold water. For best results, add it directly to the washer drum before adding clothes. For very cold washes, pre-dissolve your measured dose in a cup of warm water before adding it to the wash.
How much should I use for large or heavily soiled loads?
Use two to three tablespoons for larger or heavily soiled loads. Use one tablespoon for a normal-size load. Higher doses reduce the number of loads per bag.
Does it work in hard water?
Yes. Our powder is designed to work in hard water without increasing the dose solely because of water hardness. Use one tablespoon for normal-size loads or two to three tablespoons for larger or heavily soiled loads.
